Za’Yn is the Founder and Senior Herbalist of The Wellspring Natural Living Center Apothecary. With over 40 years of experience as a Traditional Herbalist, midwife, and wellness educator, she is deeply committed to guiding others on their healing journeys. Za’Yn’s approach emphasizes listening, connection, and compassionate coaching, helping individuals find balance and vitality in their lives.With a passion for epigenetics and neuroscience, she seamlessly weaves ancient herbal traditions with modern insights. Her knowledge of herbs sourced from around the world allows her to create remedies tailored to each person’s unique needs. Za’Yn’s dedication to fostering personal transformation reflects her lifelong mission to bring healing and wholeness to her community.

Kamilah Starchild

Kamilah StarChild is a vibrant light in The Wellspring Apothecary, blending her deep-rooted passion for natural healing with an unwavering dedication to education and customer care. As a Senior Apprentice in Traditional Herbalism, she formulates exquisite herbal blends with intention and care, tailoring them to support wellness and balance for every individual.  In her role, Kamilah provides knowledgeable and compassionate sales and customer service support. She takes the time to educate our guests, offering insights into the benefits and uses of individual herbs and our Wellspring Medicinals blends. Her expertise ensures that each customer leaves with not only the perfect product but also the confidence and knowledge to embark on their journey of natural healing. Kamilah enjoys a van life full of road trips through the national parks, creating music with her wood flute and guitar and all things free-spirited and fun!

Imani Kisaye Damali

As a Clinical Herbalist and Product Formulator at The Wellspring Family, Imani blends her deep passion for traditional herbal practices with modern innovation to craft products that nourish the mind, body, and spirit. Imani Kisaye is also the visionary founder of Sacred Waters Healing Circle (SWHC), an all-natural, plant-based product line dedicated to creating sustainable beauty from the inside out. We are so proud to carry the complete line of such wonderful products here at The Wellspring.Through SWHC, Imani draws on her extensive experience in the fashion and beauty industry to showcase the importance and effectiveness of a plant-based product line in achieving sustainable and transformative beauty.Imani Kisaye loves spending time with family and friends, she loves to dance and is always the life of any party! She loves to travel, especially to the tropical islands!

Emma Van De Moortel

Emma plays a pivotal role in The Wellspring Family as our Food as Medicine Apprentice and Production & Inventory Coordinator. With a passion for holistic health and the power of nourishment, Emma supports the creation of our signature offerings, ensuring that every product reflects our commitment to wellness and quality. From Sea moss to herbal tonics, teas to tinctures, Emma She skillfully manages production processes and keeps inventory organized and replenished, ensuring seamless operations behind the scenes. Emma’s dedication to learning and her hands-on approach embodies our mission to inspire others through the healing synergy of food and natural medicine.Emma loves creating deliciously healthy dishes to enjoy with friends and family, she enjoys arts and crafts and is passionate about her studies in midwifery and women’s health services.

Thanayi Jwahir is an extraordinary Personal Development Coach and Kundalini Yoga Instructor, bringing over 25 years of experience as a Medicine Wheel Practitioner, Medicine Maker, Yogi, and Priest to The Wellspring Family. As the founder of Soulbright Yoga, she specializes in guiding individuals through transformative healing processes, helping them navigate challenges such as chronic illness, injury, disability, terminal diagnoses, and loss.Through her private one-on-one, family, and corporate training sessions, Thanayi helps clients find the root causes of body misalignment and pain, offering tools to restore balance and vitality. Her sessions are both deeply grounding and spiritually uplifting, empowering individuals to heal their minds and bodies with compassion and intention.One of her unique offerings is her Mindful Wearable Medicine Pieces™, thoughtfully designed to promote mental and physical healing. Waliyah Muhammad is the backbone of our operations at The Wellspring Family, seamlessly managing internal administrative affairs with precision and creativity. As our IT Specialist, she ensures our infrastructure runs smoothly, from system support to graphic design. Her eye for beauty, rooted in her expertise as a practicing Esthetician and makeup artist, shines through in her work.Waliyah takes pride in crafting product label designs, curating stunning web and social media presentations, and creating impactful customer relations materials. Her dedication to detail and artistry ensures that every aspect of The Wellspring experience reflects the heart and vision of our mission.In her downtime, Waliyah enjoys attending car shows and rebuilding sports cars, making music and traveling.

A beacon of financial guidance, she combines her professional expertise with a loving, down-to-earth approach to help individuals and families achieve financial wellness and stability.With extensive skills in accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and auditing, Lakeisha provides invaluable support to those navigating their financial journeys. Nkosi Ayize, affectionately called “Coach”  is an invaluable member of The Wellspring Family, committed to empowering men to embrace their full potential through holistic coaching and training. With over 35 years of experience as a Taoist practitioner and expert in martial arts—including Capoeira Angola  and Aikido—Nkosi blends ancient practices with modern fitness techniques.As a Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer, he places a strong emphasis on the importance of men’s sexual health and masculinity as essential components of overall wellness. Nkosi’s approach honors the connection between vitality, confidence, and health, guiding men to reclaim their strength, resilience, and energy. His work helps men align mind and body, fostering self-mastery and holistic well-being.Nkosi loves to create traditional and contemporary Origami art, he loves juicing and he also enjoys soulful music. He’s also a talented musician, playing the drums and the Berimbau.
